No one said it was this hard to buy a bike!!! at last there is money in the bank and Dreams of travelling are boardering on a nightly event, I've read so many adventure motorcycle trip advice books that if it were a subject on who wants to be a millionaire I'd win us enough to catapolt us to the moon and back (bikes included)!
I've read Charlie and Ewan, Lois Pryce, still reading one of hers now about riding Africa....yep wanna do that too....started watching Horrizons unlimited but not one of them said how hard it would be....The deal was who ever's bike came up first we would go for it if the deal was good, so far we'vew been to London to look at a Transalp for Mark who at six ft 4ish needs something a bit lofty'er, good bike for money but found out just ran out of tax, guy said he would deliver no worries...BACKED OUT of deal after shaking on it...no bike! then came the Newport BMW 650 for me, I would never have drempt that someone would try to sell a bike with oil leaking from the bottom of the engine for all to see...he insisted I rode the bike but it did him no favours because it rode like a bag of nail as well as looking like a dog, probably didn't help that we saw him and his girlfriend yaahooing it round the block for one last time!!! No bike....ah yeah then the guy in portmouth that once putting his bike on ebay decided he was not going to except bids...What the f**k?!/
